The Belize Government Lotteries Ltd. has announced that, effective Sunday, April 27, 2025, the live drawing of all Belize government lottery games, including Boledo, Ordinary Lottery, and Jackpot Lottery, will be relocated to the City of Belmopan.
The decision to move the drawings was taken to reduce the risk of suspensions due to hurricanes and flooding, which have historically posed threats in Belize City. The administrative office and all staff of the Belize Government Lotteries Ltd. are already based in Belmopan, making the transition a strategic move.
Despite the relocation, the company assures the public that all established protocols will remain in place. The weighing of balls before and after each drawing will continue, with oversight by an auditor from Coye & Associates, along with a Treasury Department officer or another senior public service officer, ensuring that weights meet international standards. Drawings will still be conducted by supervisory personnel from the Treasury Department or other senior public service officials, while an auditor from Coye & Associates will serve as an official witness. Love FM will maintain its live broadcast coverage of the events.
The new drawing office will be situated inside the Emporium Plaza at the corner of Rio Grande and Nim Li Punit Street in Belmopan City. The Belize Government Lotteries Ltd. also reminds the public that anyone wishing to attend and witness the live public drawings is always welcome to do so.
