Ministry Partners with Agape International to Support Survivors of Trafficking

The Ministry of Human Development, Families, and Indigenous Peoples’ Affairs has officially joined forces with Agape International Missions Belize (AIM) to expand care and support services for survivors of human trafficking. This agreement was formalized on February 20, 2025, through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).


AIM is a well-known global organization dedicated to fighting human trafficking and providing assistance to victims. This new partnership plans to strengthening efforts to protect and rehabilitate individuals who have experienced exploitation.


The Chief Executive Officer of the Ministry highlighted the significance of teamwork between the government and non-governmental organizations in addressing this serious issue. "This collaboration is key to ensuring that those who are at risk of trafficking receive the support and resources they need," the CEO stated.


Agape International Missions has a strong history of rescuing and empowering victims of human trafficking. By working together, the Ministry and AIM Belize will provide survivors with rehabilitation programs and long-term assistance, to help them rebuild their lives.
